Newport Boat Club Anniversary Art Competition
Held 1st – 30th May 2026 for junior members (3-11yrs) and in partnership with Ysgol Bro Ingli 🎨 Brief: Draw or paint a picture that represents the Boat club and Parrog 🎨
There was a fantastic response to the art competition with a total 86 entries! The winners, runners up and highly commended artwork is now on display in the Commodores Lounge, as part of the club’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
It was a real pleasure for the three judges to see all the children’s artwork and in some age groups very difficult for them to decide on first place as the standard was so high and there where so many good entries.
A huge thank you goes to all the teaching and ancillary staff at Ysgol Bro Ingli for organising and supervising the paintings and making the art competition happen. Also very well done to the junior club members who entered, as the standard and effort put into each entry was excellent and really captured the spirit of the Boat Club, the Parrog, the estuary and all elements that make the seaside such a special place.
